Laptops produce significant amounts of heat and radiate this heat through vents and this heat is often felt through the keyboard. Cats are big fans of this heat and tend to cozy up on keyboards. Although wonderfully warm for the kitties, it’s generally not the best for the computers themselves. While perched atop their laptop space heater, cats can press all sorts of crazy key combinations, rip actual keys off off the keyboard, shed loads of hair and dander, and inflict all sorts of other unintended damage.
